In line with the International Day of the Seafarer 2025 and this year’s theme, , the United Marine Training Center (UMTC) successfully held its inaugural Vlog Festival 2025: Gabi ng Parangal on June 25 at the UMTC Building.

This groundbreaking event gave voice to seafarers and alumni who shared their personal journeys at sea—highlighting life onboard, safety practices, and the ongoing advocacy for a respectful, harassment-free workplace in the maritime industry.

Each vlog entry captured real experiences—from stories of hardship and triumph to insights on safety and solidarity among seafarers. Many also reflected on how UMTC’s training shaped their careers and values as global maritime professionals.

The event was more than just an awards night—it was a celebration of courage, storytelling, and the power of awareness. Winners were recognized for their authenticity, creativity, and their bold stand for safer, more inclusive ships.
