Indian authorities reportedly seized around 115 kilograms of cocaine during a major anti-smuggling operation near Mundra Port, resulting in the arrest of three foreign nationals and the reported death of another suspect.

According to reports, the operation was jointly conducted by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Indian Coast Guard after receiving intelligence about a suspected drug trafficking activity involving a cargo vessel anchored near the port. Authorities said the illegal cargo was allegedly hidden onboard the vessel and later thrown into the sea during the interception attempt.

Officials stated that several floating bags containing cocaine were recovered from the water. The seized drugs were estimated to be worth approximately ₹1,150 crore in the international market. Investigators also reportedly recovered satellite communication devices, GPS equipment, and tracking devices believed to be connected to the smuggling operation.

Authorities confirmed that three suspects were taken into custody, while another crew member allegedly jumped into the sea during the operation and was later presumed dead due to strong water currents. Initial investigations indicated that the shipment may have originated from Brazil and passed through several international routes before reaching Indian waters.

Indian authorities said further investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals and networks possibly linked to the international maritime drug trafficking operation.
