The Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) joined the nationwide observance of National Maritime Week 2026 and the Day of the Seafarer through its annual commemorative gathering led by Dr. Conrado F. Oca.

The event recognized the service, sacrifices, and contributions of Filipino seafarers to the country and the global maritime industry. It also served as an occasion to remember seafarers who lost their lives while performing their duties at sea.

The gathering also paid tribute to maritime leaders, including the late Capt. Gregorio S. Oca. His work and commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of Filipino seafarers continue to be remembered by the Philippine maritime sector.

Members of the maritime community attended the solemn ceremony, which highlighted the continuing efforts to support seafarers’ welfare, professional growth, and contributions to the development of the country’s maritime industry.
